MEREDITH PRITCHARD - 1st Runner Up
I am originally from West Chester, PA but moved to State College in Summer of 2015 (from Chicago, Illinois) to take a new job with First National Bank (College Ave.), where I run our student-focused digital branch. I am an avid runner and animal lover. I signed up for State College Singing Sensation because I have terrible stage fright and wanted to challenge myself. It took four years and a random karaoke night on a cruise before my boyfriend even knew I could sing. Yes, I hid it well. I have no expectations for this competition, just to have fun! Thank you to my boyfriend, family and friends for your continued support. Good luck to all the other contestants and let’s have a great time together this fall!
KAYLEE CORL - 2nd Runner Up
Kaylee Corl, age 21, has had a passion for music all her life. She sang, performed and wrote songs as a young child and learned guitar at the age of 9. She has traveled around the country for Fine Arts competitions, has local performances under her belt and leads worship at her local church Family Life of Penns Valley. She wishes to continue inspiring people through music every day!
This is my third year as a judge. I am a former winner (2010) and finalist of the competition. I have been singing nearly all my life. I started voice lessons at 7 and piano at 8. I have been part of many ensembles and choirs including South County Honors Choir in North Carolina and the Maryland Select Honors Choir. I have a degree in Music Education from Radford University with a concentration in vocal performance and elementary education. I also have an English degree from Penn State. I love all genres of music, especially metal and classical.

Recently, Matt was a featured artist with Lady Grey’s Lovelies during their Rockabilly Rebels cabaret in May. Matt enjoys running, singing, and being an all-around boss at life! He is ready to see what talent State College has to offer as he takes his new role at the Judges’ Table.
Clearly, I did something right in 2016, because I was asked to come back and judge for State College Singing Sensation 2017! My background in music comes from my experiences in Penn State Glee Club and University Choir, where I learned from some of the most incredible choral directors one could ask for. Through them, I developed a keen love for singing and was eventually introduced to the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia music fraternity by some fellow singers. As a Sinfonian, I developed a deep sense of pride in making beautiful music with wonderful people, and it was also through one of the brothers that I was first introduced to karaoke. Through karaoke, I’ve improved as a vocalist, and more importantly, met so many incredible people, and it even led to a stint as the lead vocalist and frontman for former State College hard rock band No Chump Change. I feel I have a good ear for vocal quality, and a great awareness of what makes for a stellar performance, and I look forward to judging this competition and helping all of the competitors to further themselves as musicians!
