Get ready to see more of the universe than you ever imagined.

We’re getting a glimpse of some out-of-this-world images captured by the most powerful space telescope ever built. The $10-billion James Webb Space telescope is providing a look as close to the dawn of the universe as humanity has ever seen.

The very first full-color image was released Monday afternoon during a White House event. It shows light from a cluster of galaxies that’s been traveling for 13 billion years.

That was just a teaser for what NASA has planned today. The rest of Webb’s images will be released online at webb.nasa.gov dropped this morning and will be throughout today. For more info on the mission on the telescope, the NASA website is full of articles.
