Two officers are recovering after being shot near a 4th of July celebration in Pennsylvania. 

Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to visit Chicago today, one day after Monday’s mass shooting that killed at least six people and wounded dozens more at a parade in suburban Highland Park.  Harris is scheduled to speak to the National Education Association this morning.  She told reporters that, even before the shooting Monday, she planned to dedicate part of her remarks to the need for teachers to prepare to respond to shootings at their schools.
