Regional Tire and Auto Repair Chain Looking to Open in Former Sears Service Center.

Just in time for the Fourth of July weekend, Sheetz convenience stores have cut the price of some gas below $4 per gallon.

The Altoona-based company has reduced Unleaded 88 to $3.99 a gallon and E85 to $3.49 a gallon for a limited time through the July 4th holiday travel season at all of its stores, according to a news release.

Most Americans disapprove of the Supreme Court’s historic decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, according to a new poll conducted in the immediate wake of the ruling. A 59% majority of US adults disapprove, with 41% approving, the CBS News/YouGov poll showed. Most Americans also say they believe it’s at least somewhat likely that the Supreme Court will eventually end or limit same-sex marriage (57%) and access to birth control and contraception (55%).

Voters are heading to the polls in seven states today. One of the races gaining national attention features Republican Representative Lauren Boebert of Colorado, who’s facing a challenge from a moderate state senator. This is the first election since last week’s landmark Supreme Court rulings on the Second Amendment and abortion rights.

A South Carolina law that outlaws abortions after about six weeks is in effect.  An injunction blocking it was lifted yesterday.  Friday’s Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade gave states clearance to enact abortion bans.

President Trump’s social media company is part of a federal criminal investigation.  It’s threatening a proposed merger between the company and a special purpose acquisition company.  Digital World Acquisition Corp said in a regulatory filing Monday that board members received subpoenas from a federal grand jury in the Southern District of New York related to due diligence regarding the deal.

A former Penn State men’s basketball player is facing a misdemeanor assault charge after he allegedly punched a man unconscious during a fight in downtown State College. 

Suspensions are being handed out by Major League Baseball after Sunday’s bench-clearing brawl in Anaheim.  Twelve members of the Los Angeles Angels and Seattle Mariners have received discipline for their roles in the on-field incident.  Angels interim manager Phil Nevin received a ten-game suspension, while Mariners outfielder Jesse Winker is being suspended seven games.
