Four people are dead after a military aircraft crashed in Southern California yesterday. Osprey crashed near the Arizona border in Imperial County where rescuers found five Marines on board.  The aircraft was based out of Air Station Camp Pendleton.  An investigation is ongoing.

Penn State track and field senior Tyler Merkley earned NCAA runner-up status in the men’s hammer throw to highlight the first day of the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore.

Penn State junior catcher Matt Wood was selected as a CoSIDA Academic All-American on Wednesday. He was named to the Academic All-America Third Team.

The Tigers defeated the Pirates, 3-1. The Phillies shutout Milwaukee, 10-0.
