The busiest primary day of the year is over. Much of the focus has been on California where voters ousted San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin. Voters also hit the polls Tuesday in Iowa, South Dakota, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico and New Jersey.

Los Angeles’ mayor race is headed to a runoff.  Neither Democratic candidates pulled at least 50-percent of the vote so they’ll face off in November.  Billionaire developer Rick Caruso held a three-point lead over Congresswoman Karen Bass at 10 p.m. Pacific Time.

The estate of the gunman in last month’s elementary school mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas is being sued.  Four families of children injured in the attack are seeking 100-million dollars in damages.  families are also looking for answers about how the gunman was able to get into the elementary school.

The stenographer in the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard trial says she saw jurors nodding off during testimony.  Judy Bellinger said she saw several jury members fall asleep during the trial that began on April 11th and finally ended on June 1st.  The jury ruled Heard defamed Depp in an op-ed article she wrote in 2018 about domestic violence.

IBM is taking the last steps to end operations in Russia.  The company said in a memo to staff on Tuesday that workers who have been kept on the payroll will now lose their jobs as IBM begins what it calls an “orderly wind-down” of business in Russia.  IBM said it will “take all reasonable steps to provide support and make their transition as orderly as possible.”

The accused killer of Atlanta rapper Trouble is being denied bond.  Jamichael Jones faces charges of murder, aggravated assault and home invasion.  Investigators say Jones broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment early Saturday and allegedly shot Trouble in the chest before fleeing the scene.

Penn State Football has announced the addition of defensive end Chop Robinson. Robinson comes to Penn State after spending the previous season at the University of Maryland.  

Eleven Penn State track and field student-athletes are set to compete in the final round of the NCAA Outdoor Championships held in Eugene, Oregon from June 8 to June 11.

The Big Ten Network will host Penn State Daytoday (Wednesday, June 8th), with 24 consecutive hours of Nittany Lion programming till 6 p.m.
