911 Dispatcher Who Hung Up On Buffalo Shooting Survivor Is Fired

A 911 dispatcher is being fired for the handling of a call from a person inside the Buffalo market during the mass shooting.

An Erie County spokesperson said the dispatcher allegedly asked why the caller inside the Tops market was whispering and one of the parties hung up. We told you that the caller shared her story and an investigation was started. The shooting on May 14th at the store killed ten people and injured three more.

Erie County has looked closely at their dispatchers since the Tops caller incident and fired another dispatcher for improperly handling a call on May 22.
