3 dead in snowy pileup of dozens of vehicles in Pennsylvania. The crash on Interstate 81 was captured in videos posted on social media that show drivers and passengers lining the snowy road and jumping out of the way as a cascade of crashes unfolds.

A Penn State University Park student was charged on Sunday for allegedly stabbing another man during a fight at a Patton Township apartment complex.

The number of high school students applying for state and federal college aid has continued to decline across Pennsylvania, state leaders said, nixing hopes that figures would begin to rebound.

A new round of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine is underway in Istanbul today. Turkey is one of several nations – including Israel, China and India – that have shown interest in mediating a resolution to the invasion. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he expects “solid outcomes” from the talks, and wants an immediate ceasefire. Russian forces have largely stalled on the ground in parts of Ukraine, but evacuations are underway in the port city of Mariupol, where the mayor says Russia controls most of the points of exit. 


An Alaska congressman is being honored today at the nation’s Capitol.  Don Young died earlier this month at the age of 88.  He was the longest serving House Republican in history.  His body will lie in state today with a ceremony and then a viewing for members of Congress.

Another outbreak of severe weather is hitting most of the country this week.  Forecasters say one storm will move from California to central and eastern states, causing widespread rain tonight.  Tornadoes are also possible in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas.

Spotify is rolling out COVID disclaimers two months after a boycott caused by a podcaster.  A small blue tab will direct users to an information hub.  The streaming platform promised it was coming after some artists accused Joe Rogan of spreading misinformation on his show.

A Black Lives Matter activist is now charged with attempted murder in Kentucky.  Quintez Brown was indicted by a grand jury yesterday.  He’s accused of trying to kill a Louisville mayoral candidate last month when police say he opened fire inside a campaign office.
