President Biden will attend a special NATO summit today in Brussels. NATO leaders are expected to reveal new sanctions against Russia for invading Ukraine a month ago. The President will also meet with G-7 nations and address the European Union in Brussels before traveling to Poland tomorrow.

The mayor of Kyiv says over 260 civilians have been killed since Russia began its invasion of Ukraine.  Mayor Vitali Klitschko said Wednesday that over 300 people have been injured since the war broke out and at least 80 buildings in Kyiv have been destroyed. 

Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright has died.  Albright was an immigrant from Czechoslovakia who became the first female secretary of state, serving under former President Bill Clinton from 1997 until 2001.  In a statement Wednesday, Her family said Albright has died of cancer at age 84. 

Internet host Alex Jones is facing possible arrest after failing to show for a lawsuit deposition.  Jones is being sued by families of the Sandy Hook school shooting victims, and was ordered by a judge to appear at a deposition yesterday.  The judge rejected Jones’ claim that he couldn’t attend because of medical reasons, and said if Jones doesn’t show up today, he faces possible arrest.

A jet from the Oklahoma Air National Guard has crashed in southern Louisiana.  Officials say an F-16 from the Guard’s 138th Fighter Wing was taking part in a training exercise from an air base in Texas when it crashed yesterday in Beauregard Parish.  The pilot ejected safely from the jet and wasn’t injured.  The crash is under investigation.

Investigation underway after reported bank robbery in Ferguson Township. The suspect presented a note and demanded cash from bank staff, police wrote in a Wednesday evening update.

PA appeals court tosses man’s conviction, ruling State College police exceeded their authority.

The shelves are stocked, the floors mopped and the freezers full — so, come 9 a.m. Thursday, Centre County’s newest Aldi at 780 Benner Pike will officially open its doors. The new College Township location is the county’s second Aldi, as the first opened just five months prior in Patton Township, about 7 miles away. The new stores are part of an aggressive campaign by Aldi to become the country’s third-largest grocery chain by the end of the year.

Stim Checks For Gas: The U.S. government may issue stimulus checks for gasoline. Several proposals are currently being reviewed by Congress. Reps from Illinois, California and Connecticut want Americans to receive $100 per month for the rest of 2022. In California, Democratic lawmakers want to issue a $400 gas rebate to every taxpayer. CBS says rising gas prices may cost Americans an extra $2,000 in 2022.

After a packed week of softball, the Penn State softball team (17-11, 0-0 Big Ten) returns to Nittany Lion Softball Park and Beard Field to face Maryland (13-14, 0-0 Big Ten) in a three-game series beginning Thursday night. First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m.

NHL – The Sabres defeated the Penguins, 4-3 in a S/0.

The road to the Final Four starts today as the Sweet 16 gets underway in the NCAA Tournament.  Today’s action includes second-seed Duke against three-seed Texas Tech, and top-seed Gonzaga will face four-seed Arkansas. On Friday, the Cinderella team Saint Peter’s will look to keep chasing the dream as they face three-seed Purdue.
