More damage is unfolding in Ukraine on this 16th day of fighting.  Russia has reportedly bombed an institute with an experimental nuclear reactor inside, as another airstrike hit near a preschool.  This comes as Ukraine’s president gave a speech overnight, saying he’s worried Russia may launch a chemical weapons attack.  Russia called for U.N. Security Council meeting today after accusing the U.S. of supporting a bioweapons program in Ukraine.

Jussie Smollett is waking up behind bars this morning after Judge James Linn sentenced him to 150 days in jail and 30 months of felony probation. In addition, he was fined $25-thousand and ordered to pay more than $120-thousand in restitution.

An Agreement is reached to bring back Baseball:  The MLB and the MLB Players Association reportedly reached a deal Thursday (March 10) on a new collective bargaining agreement, ending the month’s long lockout. Spring training camps are now expected to begin as early as Friday, and free-agent signings and trades will be unfrozen as soon as the deal is made official.

Opening Day is now tentatively set for April 7th. (**Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack, stat!)

Nittany Lions Rally to Defeat Ohio State 71-68 in Big Ten Tournament Last Night.

The Penn State baseball team returns to Cary, N.C. for a three-game series against UMass. All three games will be played at Coleman Field at the USA Baseball Complex. Friday’s contest is set for a noon start. Saturday will be a 1 p.m. first pitch and Sunday’s matchup will begin at 11 a.m.

The No. 67 Penn State women’s tennis team (5-6) will face off against the East Carolina Pirates (2-8) on Friday at 1 p.m. ET, before heading to Wilmington, N.C. to take on the UNCW Seahawks (6-2) at noon ET on Saturday. 

NHL – The Flyers lost to the Panthers, 6-3.
