A new attempt at peace talks in Europe is underway at this hour.  Ukraine is demanding an immediate ceasefire and withdrawal of Russian troops.  Delegations from both countries are meeting at the border with Belarus.  Ukraine’s president is not among the officials there, but is calling for the European Union to approve immediate membership.  He just gave another video address saying it’s only fair they be on equal footing.

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is questioning Russian President Putin’s mental state.  She told Fox News it appears he’s “descending into something” she hasn’t seen before.  She says he’s different from who she remembers meeting while working under former President Bush.  Rice cited a speech he gave last week as an example of what she calls his “delusional rendering of history.”

A boycott of Russia is growing five days after troops invaded Ukraine.  In Texas, the governor is asking businesses to remove Russian products.  A top lawmaker in Virginia is doing the same.  Other states are banning sales of alcohol made in Russia such as New Hampshire and Ohio, while an Arkansas senator tweeted “Dump all the Russian vodka” and “send the empty bottles to Ukraine to use for Molotov cocktails.”

Four people in Mississippi are recovering after an accident on a Mardis Gras parade float.  They were on board yesterday when the truck pulling them became unhitched.  That reportedly sent the float veering off the road and crashing into a furniture store.  All four are expected to be okay.
