Centre County Commissioners Approve 2022 Budget with No Tax Increase.

Centre County’s free COVID-19 testing clinic will be on the move again to start the new year.

Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 4, the clinic will operate 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at the Centre County Recycling & Refuse Authority, 253 Transfer Road.

Deliberations Continue In Ghislaine Maxwell Trial – New York is back on verdict watch this morning in the sex trafficking trial of Ghislaine [[ ghee-lane ]] Maxwell. She’s accused of recruiting girls for convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to abuse. He took his life two years ago in a jail cell while awaiting his own trial. The jury returned yesterday from Christmas break.

They requested office supplies and to see testimony from the ex-boyfriend of the first accuser to testify. Maxwell faces up to 70-years in prison if convicted.

The Red Cross Is Desperate For Donations So It Adds A Super Bowl Incentive – The Red Cross is running low on blood and they need donors, especially during the holidays. To get donors in the door, they are pulling out all the stops. Everyone who gives blood between now and January 2nd will get a Red Cross long-sleeved T-shirt and during the month of January donors will be entered for a chance to win a trip to the Super Bowl in Los Angeles. Penn State women’s basketball’s game at Ohio State on Monday, Jan. 3 has been postponed due to positive COVID-19 results within the Lady Lion basketball program.
