Better.com CEO That “Ambushed’ 900 Workers With A Layoff Almost Broke U.S. Laws – Better.com CEO Vishal Garg was apparently plotting a mass layoff before the company’s board knew it. Garg, who’s on forced leave, wanted to only give one or two weeks severance to the employees. That flies in the face of the WARN act, which requires either 60 days notice of the layoffs or 60 days pay. Lawyers threatened to sue the company for breaking the act and the severance was bumped to 60 days. “Insider” got the scoop after talking to current and former employees, who dished on Garg’s informal and sometimes “profane” style of running things. Proctor & Gamble Recalls Aerosol Pantene, Old Spice, And More Over One Ingredient – Proctor & Gamble have announced a big recall on some very popular products. The company is discontinuing aerosol dry shampoos and conditioners from products like Pantene, Herbal Essences, Old Spice, Aussie, and more because the dry sprays contain benzene, which may be a cancer-causing agent.

The CDC has said long-term exposure to high levels of benzene in the air can cause leukemia. P&G says benzene is not a listed ingredient, but the propellants in the cans may create it and they’ve detected levels of the compound. A full list of the products being pulled can be found on the FDA website.
