Food on a Plane

People travel at Thanksgiving, and some people think nothing of carrying food across the country. But, there are certain foods the TSA won’t let you bring on the plane. They include:

  • cranberry sauce (both homemade or canned)
  • gravy (also homemade, canned or in a jar)
  • alcohol
  • canned fruit
  • canned vegetables
  • preserves; jams; jellies
  • maple syrup.


– The list of things you can bring: baked goods (homemade or store-bought)

  • meats (frozen, cooked or uncooked)
  • stuffing (cooked, uncooked, or in a box or bag)
  • casseroles; mac n’ cheese (cooked or uncooked)
  • fresh vegetables
  • fresh fruit
  • candy
  • spices
