It’s Homecoming weekend at Penn State, and that means parking and traffic changes will be in place on campus and in State College for the annual parade on Friday and Saturday’s noon game against Illinois at Beaver Stadium.

State College police have filed a written allegation against a juvenile accused of committing robbery, theft and harassment at the State College Area High School homecoming dance earlier this month.

Pennsylvania will begin honoring victims of a synagogue shooting this weekend.  Wednesday will mark three years since a man allegedly opened fire during services in Pittsburgh, killing 11 people and injuring seven others.  He faces more than 60 federal charges and a possible death penalty if convicted.  Commemorative events start tomorrow with Torah sessions and a blood drive scheduled for Sunday.

For all the recent “sightings” reported around the country, the search for Brian Laundrie is officially over. The FBI is confirming that human remains found at a Florida nature reserve are those of Laundrie. The FBI says they made the confirmation with dental records.

A Hollywood movie director is in the hospital after a shooting on set.  Star and producer Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun during a scene yesterday that also killed the director of photography.  She was flown to a hospital but couldn’t be saved.  This all happened at a ranch in New Mexico where the Western “Rust” is being filmed.  Production has since been halted and no word when it will resume.  The sheriff’s office says no charges have been filed.

More healthcare workers are losing their battle with COVID.  The World Health Organization predicts the number of deaths could be between 80-thousand and 180-thousand up to May of this year. 

A Massachusetts college student is being remembered after she died during a hot dog eating contest.  Madie Nicpon apparently choked last weekend at a home off campus.  The Tufts University freshman was with other students taking part in a charity fundraiser.  The 20-year-old played on the lacrosse team and planned a career in the medical field.  Her funeral will be held tomorrow.
