Majority of Americans Happiest in the Fall

Fall has been having a moment for a while now, and it’s backed up by a new survey of 2,000 Americans by OnePoll that found that a majority of us (56 percent) said we’re happier in the fall compared to other seasons.

Among the things respondents said were the best aspects of fall, the top three were watching the leaves change color at 51 percent, feeling the chill in the air at 45 percent, and drinking hot chocolate at 44 percent.

Following them were getting ready for the holidays at 40 percent and making homemade soup, also at 40 percent. Other baking- and cooking-related things were also in the top 20, including baking pies, having cinnamon apple food and drinks, having pumpkin spice-flavored food and drinks, drinking hot apple cider, and making pumpkin bread.
