Study: Regular Exercise Can Help Prevent Coronavirus Complications From Worsening

In addition to hygiene-related measures you may want to exercise each day to get your immune system ready for a possible brush with COVID-19. University of Virginia School of Medicine’s Zhen Yan recommends 30-minute cardiovascular workouts each day to prevent the respiratory disease. He says, “We cannot live in isolation forever. Regular exercise has far more health benefits than we know. The protection against this severe respiratory disease condition is just one of many examples.” He adds that biking, rowing, or other types of aerobics can help prevent or reduce the severity of lung disease.
