Early Birds Have More Sex, Make More Money, And Sleep Better Than Night Owls

If you’re a morning person you seem to have some advantages in life compared to night owls. A survey of 2,000 Americans, split evenly between self-identified early birds and night owls, finds early birds report having more sex per week, on average, compared to those who stay up late. Night owls were found to be shy, sarcastic, single, and were more likely to use Instagram and believe in ghosts. Early birds, on the other hand, were more likely to be married, more likely to have tried online dating, more likely to work in an office, and were more likely to have children living in the house.

Early birds were 10 percent more likely to identify as happy, and night owls identified more strongly as loyal. Also, men were more likely to be early birds, while women were more likely to say they were night owls. One weird find– early birds were more likely to report always being late for work. Researchers say regardless whether you identify as an early bird or a night owl, it’s more important to have a consistent sleep schedule and get enough rest. (Fox)¬†
