Consumer Reports looked at some risky behaviors in which we engage. Check it out:
• About 40 percent often eat raw dough when making cookies.
• Nearly 75 percent put cotton swabs inside their ears.
• 69 percent of us drive at least 10 miles per hour over the speed limit.
• 37 percent leave items on the stairs at home.
• 31 percent occasionally use the top step of a ladder.
• 13 percent sometimes have a beer while using a power tool or mower.
• 43 percent let their kids play on a trampoline.
• 61 percent don’t have a rubber mat in the tub or shower.
• 21 percent don’t change batteries in smoke alarms yearly.
• 32 percent don’t eat burgers only well done.
• 9 percent of us don’t read the warnings that come with our prescription.
• 70 percent never use hearing protection with a mower or leaf blower.
• Half of us never unplug the toaster when not in use
