Teens Say Social Media Makes Them Less Lonely And More Confident

A new poll has found that teens feel that social media has a very positive effect on their lives, making them feel more confident and less lonely and less depressed. In a poll done by Common Sense Media, 59% of teens said that social media made no difference in how depressed they feel. 29% said that it made them feel less depressed and 11% said it made them more depressed. Meanwhile, 39%  said it makes them feel less lonely and 13%, more lonely. 1,141 13-17 year olds participated in the survey
