Time to take a chill pill. A new study finds too much stress can actually make you lose your eyesight. Researchers from Magdeburg University in Germany analyzed hundreds of existing studies and clinical reports and found that stress may cause damage by increasing pressure in the fluid inside the eye, damaging the blood vessels, or causing inflammation. This can bring on or worsen common eye diseases like glaucoma, diabetic vision loss, and age-related macular degeneration. The goods news? The data also shows that reducing stress can reverse the damage and even restore some of the vision which has been lost.
