Is ‘Alarm Anxiety’ Ruining Your Sleep?

This is certainly a modern issue– people are losing sleep because they’re concerned their alarms won’t go off. The phenomenon has been dubbed ‘alarm anxiety,’ and Australian Sleep Coach Elina Winnel says it relates to, “the stress of not getting enough sleep before your alarm goes off [and] manifests from knowing the impact that our lack of sleep quality will have on us.” She says to ward off this issue you should minimize your stress and anxiety level through the day, and consider keeping your clock out of view during the night.
