The Length Of A Man’s Legs Determines How Attractive Women Find Him

If you thought have bulging biceps would attract women, you might be right, but a new study finds women are most attracted to men with long legs. University of Cambridge researchers showed 341 women computer generated images of men, based on real-life men. The women were then asked to rate the attractiveness of the men in the images as their arms and legs were manipulated. The “men” were ranked most attractive when their legs were slightly longer than average, but the length of their arms had no impact on their attractiveness rating. It’s thought this attraction to long-legged men is instinctual for women, as science has linked short legs to an increased risk of diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and dementia. Study leader Dr. William Skylark adds, “The observed preference for leg body ratios that are at or slightly above average accords with the idea that these signal the fitness of the prospective male.”¬†
