Your Attitude About Aging Might Affect Odds For Dementia

Having a good attitude is usually going to help, no matter your situation. Now a new study shows having an upbeat view on aging might help you avoid dementia in old age. Scientists found people with positive beliefs about aging had a nearly 44 percent lower risk of developing dementia over the next four years compared to those with less positive outlooks. Still, the findings don’t prove that negative attitudes about aging lead to mental decline– it only shows an association between people’s beliefs and their dementia risk. (UPI
