AV Club claims the “Foldimate”, a robot, has been created to fold laundry. It folds a load of laundry in about two to four minutes, including shirts, pants, towels and pillowcases. The only drawback is, it costs $1000.
In my house, we do about 10 loads of laundry per week. If you charged $1 per load to fold, multiplied that by 52 weeks, that’s $520 per year. So, in my house, it would pay for itself in about 2 years.
Is it worth $1000 to your family?
Since I only fold one or two loads per week, it isn’t worth it to me. My wife on the other hand…
