Scientists: Low-Calorie Diet Is The Key To Youth

To stay feeling young for longer you’ll want to eat less. University of California, Irvine, checked on the link between the body’s biological clock and aging. They found aging messes with our circadian rhythm which slowly derails metabolism over time, and the best way to combat this effect is to eat a low-calorie diet. When the scientists looked at mice, they found the group that was fed a diet with 30 percent fewer calories for six months processed energy in a more stable way. It’s thought the implications for humans could be significant, but more research would need to be done to prove it. (Daily Mail
