Study: Drinking Doesn’t Change Your Personality

If you think you have a ‘drunk’ personality and a ‘sober’ personaltiy, think again. University of Missouri researchers surveyed 156 people about their typical alcohol consumption, and found after drinking in a lab setting, participants reported feeling more open, agreeable and extroverted, but observers noticed little change in their behavior. Observers only indicated one reliable change in personality: extroversion. So why do we think we get a different personality when we’re drinking? Scientists say it’s all about point of view, as while our personalities don’t change when we drink, our traits do become more exaggerated. (Daily Mail)¬†
