Wanting the Patriots to Lose the Super Bowl Is One Issue That Can Unite America

America seems more divided than ever . . . but don’t lose hope.  Even GUNS N’ ROSES got back together.  And there’s something on the horizon that could UNITE AMERICA.  It’s the Super Bowl . . .

And according to a new poll by Public Policy Polling, Republicans, Democrats, Independents, basically people of ALL walks of life, want to watch the New England Patriots LOSE.

53% of the nation is rooting for the Atlanta Falcons to win this coming Sunday . . . compared to only 27% who are pulling for the Patriots.   So, who’s actually down with Tom Brady’s deflated balls?  Only 23% of Republicans . . . just 27% of Democrats . . . and 31% of Independents.

The Patriots are also the most hated team in the NFL . . . 21% of fans say the Patriots are their least favorite team.  The Dallas Cowboys are the second least-liked at 19%, followed by the hapless Chicago Bears at 12%.

But that being said, 52% of fans think the Patriots will win.  Only 36% are putting their money on the Falcons.

America is split on Tom Brady . . . probably because of his inescapably rugged handsomeness.  He got the most votes for ‘America’s Favorite Quarterback’ with 22% of the vote.  But, he also got the most votes for the ‘Least Favorite Quarterback,’ with 24%.

But even though America can be united by football . . . there are still a lot of confused people out there.  In the “favorite NFL quarterback” poll, Tim Tebow received more votes (6%) than Cam Newton (2%).

Tebow started 14 games in the NFL from 2010 to 2011, with a win-loss of 8-6.  Newton is a three-time Pro Bowler, who’s taken the Carolina Panthers to the Super Bowl.  He was the NFL MVP in 2015.  And he’s STILL PLAYING.

Now, Tebow won a Heisman Trophy in college.  But so did Newton.  Tebow is a Christian, but so is Newton.  So it’s unclear why people are so in love with Tebow as their “favorite quarterback.”
