Study: How To Tell If You Should Switch Your Workout

Everybody’s different, and that includes how we respond to workouts. Published in the journal PLOS ONE, researchers have devised a good way to figure out if it’s time for a new workout. They say you simply climb some stairs, and then check your pulse to get a baseline number. After a month of exercising, do the test again, if your pulse rate hasn’t gone down, you might not be responding to the exercise you chose and you should consider a different type of workout.
