Box Office Report For 11/28/16

The Thanksgiving box office this year was pretty much all “Moana” and “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”“Moana” made $55.5 million over the three day weekend, and $81.1 million over all five days.

“Fantastic Beasts” made $65.8 million over five days, and $45.1 million over the weekend.  Brad Pitt’s “Allied” and “Bad Santa 2” kind of tanked.  And Warren Beatty’s Howard Hughes movie “Rules Don’t Apply” didn’t even make the Top 10:

1.  NEW:  “Moana”, $55.5 million.  Up to $81.1 million since Wednesday.

2.  “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, $45.1 million.  Up to $156.2 million in its 2nd week.

3.  “Dr. Strange”, $13.4 million.  Up to $205.1 million in its 4th week.

4.  NEW:  “Allied”, $13 million.  Up to $18 million since Wednesday.

5.  “Arrival”, $11.3 million.  Up to $62.4 million in its 3rd week.

6.  “Trolls”, $10.3 million.  Up to $135.1 million in its 4th week.

7.  “Almost Christmas”, $7.6 million.  Up to $36.7 million in its 3rd week.

8.  NEW:  “Bad Santa 2”, $6.1 million.  Up to $9 million since Wednesday.

9.  “Hacksaw Ridge”, $5.5 million.  Up to $52.2 million in its 4th week.

10.  “The Edge of Seventeen”, $3 million.  Up to $10.3 million in its 2nd week.
