Study: Men’s Brains Are Greedier Than Women’s

Science has long proved that it’s easier for women to multitask than it is for men, but a new study pinpoints why. Researchers from the HSE Neurolinguistics Laboratory scanned the brains of participants as they switched between tasks. They found that women require less brain power to switch between tasks compared to men, though only among subjects younger than age 45. Study co-author Svetlana Kuptsova says there’s no scientific explanation for this difference between men and women, adding, “We could continue with the same logic and assume that homemaking and caring for children historically required women to be good at multitasking, but there is no hard evidence to support this theory.” (EurekAlert!)¬†
