Research Finds Yoga Can Ease Chronic Pain

A possible treatment has arrived for people who have chronic pain, but don’t want to take a ton of medication. Researchers at the National Centre for Complementary and Integrative Health at the National Institutes of Health reviewed 105 clinical trials in the U.S. and found that people suffering from back pain, osteoarthritis, neck pain, fibromyalgia, and severe headaches and migraine could all be treated with varying degrees of success with acupuncture, yoga and tai chi. Relaxation techniques and massage therapy also showed promise, but to a slightly lesser degree, researchers said. (Daily Mail)
