A Poor Night’s Sleep Makes You Forgetful

Never underestimate the power of a good night’s sleep. University of Leeds researchers discovered that getting less than five hours of shut eye in a night will leave you snippy and forgetful the next day. When the scientists tested participants who slept less than five hours, 50 percent had to check whether they’d done something or not, and 44 percent forgot something they intended to do. Overall, those who slept fewer than five hours were 25 percent more forgetful than those who slept longer. Study leader, Dr. Anna Weighall says, “Good sleep leads to improved memory performance and this leads to a better quality of life.” (Daily Mail
