Temple of the Dog to Reunite, Tour

This is one of those things that really makes you feel old:  Remember TEMPLE OF THE DOG?  The “supergroup” made up of members of SOUNDGARDEN and PEARL JAM?  This year is their 25th anniversary.  And they’re marking it with five shows this November in Philly, New York, San Francisco, L.A. and Seattle.

Singer Chris Cornell said, quote, “We wanted to do the one thing we never got to do… play shows and see what it feels like to be the band that we walked away from 25 years ago.

“This is something no one has ever seen.  We wanted to stop and recognize that we did this and pay homage.”

For those of you who don’t know, Temple of the Dog also includes Pearl Jam guitarists Mike McCready and Stone Gossard, and bassist Jeff Ament… plus drummer Matt Cameron, who’s played for both Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.

In addition to the tour, they’re releasing a 25th anniversary edition of their self-titled debut album . . . which Eddie Vedder also did some backing vocals on.  Eddie isn’t mentioned as part of the reunion, but maybe he’ll show up.

It’s hard to imagine them doing Hunger Strike without him.
