Texas Town Reverses Beloved Library Cat’s Eviction

It is possible for things to go back to how they used to be. For example, in White Settlement, Texas the city council voted to evict the local library’s beloved cat a few weeks ago, but voted unanimously Friday (July 1st) to overturn that decision. The cat’s name is Bowser, and it will now get to continue living in the White Settlement Public Library, where it has resided for the past six years. Mayor Ron White says he received more than 1,500 emails from those in the U.S. as well as other countries calling for the reversal of the decision to evict Bowser. White adds that the library has an air purifier to remove 99 percent of allergens from the air for patrons who are allergic to cats. (UPI)
