New Museum Showcases Animal Poop

If you’ve ever wondered what Elk poop looks like there’s now a museum exhibit that will show you. The new National Poo Museum at the Isle of Wright Zoo in the U.K. focuses on feces from animals like elks and lions, and even from a human baby. The “poo-seum” features 20 illuminated resin spheres, each showing off a different type of poo and also has facts about poo hidden behind retro toilet lids lining the walls. Nigel George, one of the exhibition’s curators says, “Poo provokes strong reactions. Small children naturally delight in it but later we learn to avoid this yucky, disease-carrying stuff, and that even talking about poo is bad. But for most of us, under the layers of disgust and taboo, we’re still fascinated by it.” (
