A friend of mine told me about “The PIzza Party Formula”, which is an equation for figuring out how much pizza to order for a party. It’s pretty simple. There are 8 slice in a pie, so first you’ll need to estimate how many pieces the average person will eat. Let’s say three, which gives us the fraction 3/8. Next, how many guests are coming? Let’s say 12.
Use the formula: X x 3/8 = P.
X = the number of guests
P = the number of pizzas.
So, we have 12 x 3/8 = 4.5.
Four and a half pizzas. If you think your guests are big eaters, go with five, if not then round down to four.
