There is a new company that grows meat from animal cells, they are called Memphis Meats. The company just unveiled the first “Lab Grown Meatball”. Their goal is to eliminate the needles slaughter of animals. The meat is grown in a lab using cells from cows, pigs and chickens and can take between 9 and 21 days until “harvest”. Memphis Meats hopes to have their products on the market within the next four years, starting with hot dogs, sausages, burgers and meatballs.
Is it just me or does the term “Lab Grown Meatball” make you gaga? and isn’t it ironic that the four meat products they choose to release first, contain the least amount of actual meat?
